JFKMS Awards Ceremonies

John F. Kennedy Middle School will hold end-of-year awards ceremonies for each grade level on the following dates:

June 12 – 6th Grade

June 13 – 7th Grade

June 14 – 8th Grade

Each ceremony will begin at 8:30 a.m.

 

Sports Physicals

Middle school athletes may attend any of the high school physical dates. The cost is $10 and a parent or guardian must be present as they go through the stations. Click here for a copy of the 2013 physical form.

The dates are:

June 4 – Kings Fork

June 5 – Nansemond River

June 6 – Lakeland

All physicals will begin at 5:30 p.m.

Goldilocks vs. The Three Bears!

 

Did Goldy do it? Or was it the Big Bad Wolf? The audience becomes the jury and decides the outcome of this case Thursday, May 16th at 6:30 pm in the JFKMS auditorium. Admission is free and the show precedes the strings and choral concerts to follow at 7 pm.

Suffolk Parent University: Building Strong Families

You are invited to the first annual Suffolk Parent University, sponsored by Suffolk Public Schools and Suffolk’s Early Childhood Development Commission.

This FREE event will be held Saturday, March 23, 2013 from 8:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at King’s Fork High School. Participants may attend four workshop sessions and visit resource tables from community organizations.

Workshop topics include:

  • Parenting the Strong-Willed Child
  • Fathers Raising Readers
  • Positive Discipline
  • Single Parenting
  • Bullying Prevention
  • Kindergarten Readiness
  • Internet Safety
