ART CLUB NEWS

On Friday April 30, 2010 students in the Art Club and throughout grades 6, 7, and 8 participated in a clay workshop sponsored by the Suffolk Art League. Guest artist Linda Bunch worked with over forty students in two separate workshops. The students created rattles in the shape of the animal that best represented part of their personality.

Young Writers Winners:

Students from Mrs. Applebee’s class work on their entries for the Young Writers Contest. The contest allows students to creatively use the writing process to write about something they are interested in. Students can create fiction, non-fiction, autobiography, and poetry books. These writings are submitted and judged by an independent panel. Winning books are then submitted for city wide judging.   John F. Kennedy Middle School Winners were:
