WatchDOGS www.fathers.com/watchdogs is coming to John F. Kennedy!!! Many of our feeder elementary schools already sponsor the program so it seems appropriate to bring this great program to the middle school level.
From the WatchDOGS website:
WATCH D.O.G.S. (Dads of Great Students) – Engage men, inspire children, reduce bullying and enhance the educational environment at your school.
WATCH D.O.G.S. (Dads of Great Students) – Is the father involvement initiative of the National Center for Fathering that organizes fathers and father figures in order to provide positive male role models for the students and to enhance school security. Today, more than 2200 active programs in 41 states participate in the WATCH D.O.G.S. Program.
Who are WatchDOGS? Fathers, grandfathers, step-fathers, uncles, and other father figures who volunteer to serve at least one day a year in a variety of school activities as assigned by the school principal or other adminstrator.
The Kickoff/Informational Session will be Thursday, November 17th at 6PM in the JFK Cafeteria. Please contact me kevgoetz@spsk12.net if you have any questions. Otherwise we look forward to seeing you on the 17th!

A special “Thanks” to our PTA for sponsoring this great program and to Mr. Russ Darnell and Mr. Brian O’Neal for volunteering to serve as our WatchDOGS Top Dogs.
